The World of Snark, The World of Science

The term Snark first appeared in the Lewis Carroll’s famous poem, The Hunting of the Snark. In this poem, the Snark is a fictional creature with unimaginable shape. It is hard to catch and since it is believed that Snark taste good, it is worth to hunt.

Well, it is just an imaginary creature in nonsense poem. But we can consider Snark as the undiscovered part of the nature. As we all know, Science is about describe what behind the nature. That is why this blog called as The World of Snark. In this blog, the secret of the nature equated with the Snark and Snark hunting is how we discover the knowledge behind the nature. The World of Snark is dedicated for academic community. This is where the academic community shares their work and research with colleagues or everyone who interested in Science.

The World of Snark will feature the latest invention in Science. All scientists could share what they are working on and post the update of their research. As the Snark hunting needs extra courage, this blog encourage us to participate in the development of the Science about our life and the world surrounds us. More knowledge will give new meaning about our life.

Hunt Your Own Snark

What is snark? Well. You might be very strange with this term. The Snark is popularized by Lewis Carroll as it appeared in his famous poem, The Hunting of the Snark. Snark is a fictional creature in an island many months sail away from England.

Since it first published, Lewis Carroll’s The Hunting of Snark has been drawing lots of curiosity. There are many arguments about where the word the Snark derived from. Well, let the linguists decide it. However, lots of curiosity appeared since Lewis Carroll didn’t explain clearly what kind of Snark it is. He only described that there was some varieties of Snark. Some with feather and bite, and some have whiskers and scratch. The rest of it, he left it unimaginable.

Although some people consider it as nonsense poem, it draws lots of curiosity. It is like they are like to hunting the Snark. Well, off course it is not literary hunting for the real Snark, since it is totally fictional. Snark hunting much closely means as explaining your own version of Snark. Yes, it is multi-interpretation indeed. However, there is no limit for imagination isn’t it? Let we know what kind of your Snark is.
